Piney Grove Baptist Church of Mt. Airy

Piney Grove has a traditional worship service on Sunday mornings at 11 AM. It is a time of worship and reflection through contemporary and traditional music, children’s sermon, and worship message and prayer. On Wednesday nights, we have Midweek at Piney Grove which begins with a fellowship meal prepared by members of the church at 5:30 in the fellowship hall. Following the meal are a Bible Study for Adults and classes for the children and youth at 6:30. Choir practice at 7:30 concludes our Wednesday night activities that refresh our spirits and honor God through study and lifting our collective voice in song.

About PGBC

We deeply believe that the Mission of God through the Church should include Local and Global engagement. With this at our core we try to offer opportunities each year to participate in the work of God in the world, and we believe that one of the best ways to engage with Christ around us is to also be storytellers for our missional partners we work alongside. Whether it is providing space for them to share their updates in person or via newsletters, praying for them by name, collecting and sending them needed supplies, or sending teams to work alongside them and provide in-person support in the field we recognize that there is a breadth of knowledge and gifts that each of our members bring to our church body and we work to utilize our gifts to work towards building the kingdom of God on Earth as it is in heaven.
