In September 2025, the Minister Search Committee approved our new minister – Rev. Eddie Lowe.
Meet Pastor Eddie Lowe
My wife Candy and I live in the Copeland Community outside of Dobson on a small family farm. We have a beautifully blended family and together we share four children Emma, Katie, Caleb Seth, and Madi (the baby). Katie is married to Caleb Dollyhite and they have given us two grandchildren Wesson (5) and Mae Mae (3).
We are close and usually make it a point to get together for family dinner on Thursday nights. We take time to focus on all our milestones and celebrate birthdays with everyone’s favorite meal. Our children are one of our greatest blessings.
I was saved at 18 and felt the Lord’s calling to enter the ministry at 19. I was a senior pastor for over 10 years in Baptist Churches. I have a heart for visitation, counseling, fellowship, and a profound appreciation for God’s people. I am currently enrolled at Christian Leaders Institute, and I am working toward a double major in the School of Divinity. I will hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Divinity and Christian Leadership.
My hobbies would make for a great country song they include fishing, hunting, woodworking, and an occasional trip to the lake.

Scottie Isaacs – Ministry Assistant
Scottie came to Piney Grove on July 1, 2009. He is a native of Surry County, graduated from North Surry High School. He worked in an assembly plant for approx. 4 years, then served in the Military for two years including a tour in Vietnam in the Military Police. He worked in textiles for 38 years before retiring in 2007 when plant closed. Scottie is married to Jenny, and they have a son Greg, and a daughter Andrea. They have three grandchildren. Some hobbies are gardening, landscaping, and watching NASCAR races. Enjoys working with computers. He attends New Life Baptist Church and plays piano and organ for services.

Paul Danley – Minister of Worship
Paul Danley has served Piney Grove for many years as Choir Director and soloist. Taking on tasks through the years, his role has evolved into Minister of Worship. Paul and his wife, DeAnne, have a son in graduate school and a daughter who is a junior in high school.

Jean Johnson Ingram, Diaconate Chair
Jean Ingram is the Chairperson of the Board of Deacons and moderator for 2025-2026. Jean has attended Piney Grove all her life and served in many capacities at the church. She and her husband, Steve, have two adult children and live in the church’s community. We are thankful for Jean, her faithfulness and willingness to serve our church.
